This policy covers the SellSmarter AI iPhone app and the website at sellsmarter.app. It is written in plain English and we have tried to keep it short enough to read.
SellSmarter is a library of sales prompts. You read them, save the ones you want, and copy them into whichever AI assistant you use. The prompts are the product; you are not.
You can use the free part of SellSmarter without an account, and we will hold nothing about you at all. If you sign in, we hold your Apple account identifier, your name, your email address, your subscription status and the list of prompts you saved. We never ask for anything about the people you sell to, and there is nowhere in the app to put it.
We do not track you. We do not advertise. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
If you only read: nothing. Reading the free prompts and tips requires no account. Your saved prompts and your settings stay on your phone.
If you sign in with Apple:
| What | How we get it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| An account identifier | Apple sends it when you sign in | It is how we recognise your account next time |
| Your name | Apple sends it the first time only, and you can change or clear it in the app | To show on your account screen |
| Your email address | Apple sends it. If you chose “Hide My Email”, we receive a forwarding address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com and never your real address | So we can answer you if you write to support |
| A sign-in token from Apple | Apple returns it when you sign in | So that when you delete your account we can tell Apple to stop sharing with us. That is the only thing we use it for |
| The date you joined | Our server records it | The “member since” line on your account screen |
If you subscribe: Apple handles the payment. We receive a record from Apple confirming which plan you bought and when it renews or expires. We never receive your card number, your billing address or anything else about how you paid.
If you save prompts while signed in: we store the list of which prompts you saved, by their identifier. We do not store the prompt text against your account, and we do not record which prompts you read, opened or copied.
Counts that are not about you: we count things like how many times a section was opened and how many people reached the subscribe screen. These counts carry no account identifier and no device identifier — they are totals per day, and there is no way to work backwards from them to a person. You can switch them off in the app under Preferences, and the app will then send none of them.
When you write to support: the app opens a message in your own Mail app with your app version, your iOS version, your device model, your plan, and a one-way scrambled version of your account identifier. You can see all of it and edit or delete any of it before you send. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
On our server: our hosting provider sees the internet address your phone connects from, as every web server does. We use it to limit how fast requests can arrive, which is what stops someone from attacking the sign-in or copying the whole library. We do not store it in our database.
There is no field in SellSmarter for any of this, and the app never asks your permission for any of it:
The only permission the app ever asks for is notifications, and only after you turn the reminder on yourself.
| Data | Used for | Anything else? |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifier, name, email | Signing you in, showing your account, answering your support messages | No |
| Apple sign-in token | Telling Apple to stop sharing with us when you delete your account | No |
| Subscription record | Deciding whether to serve you Pro prompts, and showing your renewal date | No |
| Saved prompt list | Showing your saved prompts, and carrying them to a new phone | No |
| Daily counts | Learning which parts of the library people find useful | No |
| Support message details | Answering your message | No |
| Internet address, at our host | Rate limiting and abuse prevention | No |
We do not use any of it to build a profile of you, to target advertising, to train a model, or to decide anything about you automatically.
Two companies, named:
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Your sign-in and your payment. Apple already holds your Apple Account; it gives us only the identifier, the name and the email address described above, plus a record of your subscription | Sign in with Apple, and all purchases |
| Cloudflare | Everything our server stores, because our server and database run on Cloudflare | Hosting |
Both are bound by their own agreements with us that restrict what they may do with this data, and neither is permitted to use it for their own purposes. That is all of them. There is no analytics company, no advertising network, no email marketing platform, no crash-reporting service, no data broker, and no other processor. If that list ever changes, this page changes first and the app's privacy label is updated with it.
We do not sell personal data. We have never sold personal data. We do not disclose it to anyone else except where the law requires it.
| What | Kept |
|---|---|
| Your account, name, email, join date, Apple sign-in token | Until you delete your account |
| Your subscription record | Until you delete your account — including after a subscription ends, so “Restore purchases” keeps behaving correctly |
| Your saved prompt list, on our server | Until you unsave the item, or delete your account |
| Your sign-in session | 30 days from your last use, then it expires on its own |
| Records of Apple's notifications to us about subscriptions and sign-in | 90 days, then deleted. They contain no name, email or device identifier |
| Daily counts | Indefinitely. They contain nothing about any person |
| Everything on your phone — saved prompts, settings, reminder, theme | Until you change it or delete the app |
In the app: Account, then Delete account. It asks twice, and then:
It cannot be undone, and there is nothing we can restore afterwards.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are Apple's, not ours, and we cannot cancel one for you. Cancel first, in Settings, your name, Subscriptions, or from the link the app shows you on the delete screen. The app tells you this before it deletes anything.
You can also email support@sellsmarter.app and ask us to delete your account, and we will.
Your sign-in token is held in the iPhone's keychain. On our server we store only a one-way hash of it, so a copy of our database cannot be used to sign in as you. Everything between the app and our server travels over HTTPS, and sellsmarter.app is on the HSTS preload list, so there is no unencrypted version to fall back to. We do not write tokens, email addresses or names into our logs.
No system is perfect, and we are not going to claim ours is. If you find a problem, email support@sellsmarter.app and we will take it seriously.
SellSmarter is a tool for people who sell for a living. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13.
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and we will say what changed. If a change means we collect something new, the app's privacy label changes at the same time.
